Yolanda has been a member at Mt. Carmel Worship Center, Holy Church of America for 23 years. She believes that since Jesus Christ made the provision for every man to receive salvation that it is her Christian duty to make sure that the gospel that started in the upper room makes it into everyone's living room.
She began preaching in 1997 and was ordained a minister in 2000. It is her desire “that none should perish.” She is committed to equipping the saints for the work of the ministry. She graduated from Breakthrough Reconciliation Ministries as a Lay Counselor in 1998 and graduated with honors from the School of Intercession at Marion Christian Center in 2003.
Yolanda's volunteer history includes 14 years working as the Street Fair Coordinator for Columbus GospelFest (the largest outdoor Christian event in Columbus, Ohio). Yolanda has been instrumental in community outreach at Mt. Carmel Worship Center. She organizes an annual Community Day, which is a free event that offers food, school supplies and health screenings to local families. She has worked with Mother’s Helping Mothers to help organize annual Christmas events for single moms and has also partnered with Life Care Alliance to provide holiday programming for seniors and Eastland Civic Association which promotes a safe community for the neighborhood.
She is the proud owner/operator of Best Days Senior Living, which offers 24 hour assisted living care to seniors. She is a member of Awesome Women in Business, The Women’s Business Center., Christian Women in Business and Pickerington Chamber of Commerce.
Yolanda is happily married to Family Life Pastor Walter Adams, they are the proud parents of two children, Anton and Kaila. She received her Bachelors of Science degree from the The Ohio State University in 1995, majoring in Allied Medicine with a specialty in Occupational Therapy.
